Critical Hours programming for children and youth aged 6-18 years include Keeping Youth Connected, After School programs and summer day camps.
There is a strong emphasis placed on social and emotional well-being, leadership and lifeskills development and building a strong sense of belonging.
A range of services are available at each Community House that provide resources and access to basic needs. Good Food programs reduce barriers for low-income individuals and families to access food, Employment supports offer job searching resources and youth job placements, Information and Referrals link residents with additional services and resources they need.
Through Community Engagement, Community Houses create and maintain relationships with residents, support their growth with skills development and opportunities to get involved, foster a sense of belonging to their community and link them to opportunities outside of their immediate neighbourhood.
